Over the years, Megaman have invested in new equipment and process streamlines to lower energy and water consumption in their manufacturing plants. Megamanhave been successful in reducing the weight and size of their products and that in turns helps save raw materials & packaging and increases efficiency in transportation.

Achievements:

Energy consumption per light bulb in 2006 is reduced by 11.1% when compared with the 2004 level.
Water consumption per light bulb in 2006 is reduced by 18.1% when compared with the 2004 level.
CO2 in 2006 is reduced by 9.4%, i.e. 2632 tons when compared with the 2004 level.
Megaman recycle plastic, industrial-use alcohol and lubrication oil to reduce industrial waste.
Waste gas and mercury vapour generated from production lines are extracted and filtered prior to emission.
Waste glass is recycled at their mercury recovery plant, preventing unsafe disposal.
Amalgam, a safer form of mercury is used inside their lamps. Contamination to land and water supply is greatly reduced.
Megaman restrict the use of hazardous substances such as Lead, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Cadmium, PBE and PBDE.
